Barry's Story

 As I write this, I am 81 years of age and thought at this age I would be slowing down. However,   God has other plans.

 I am happily married to my gorgeous wife, Ruth. My first beautiful wife, Margaret, went to be with   the Lord on May 29, 2000, passing to Glory from cancer.

 Ruth and I are blessed with five wonderful children, all happily married and have given us 15   awesome grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

 We were living a perfect life until Covid 19 which changed everything including losing 80% of our   net worth, which was very substantial.

 A new day dawned. I have always loved the Lord, served Him as a Pastor and a successful   businessman. However, I have never really had to trust God for very much in my life.

 My first study was on what it meant to be God’s Temple; I Cor. 3:16,17; 6:17-20. The result was to   write my first book, “Your Body is God’s Temple,” now for sale through Amazon.com or Trivita.   

 The Apostle Paul in Colossians 1:24-27 wrote about this truth as the mystery that has been   hidden from the ages and generations. New uncovered for all is the riches of the magnificence   of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

 The supernatural event took place when two friends, Jim Janz and Ken Hayes, offered to pay for   the editing and publishing of my book and Michael Ellison offered to pay for the advertising. We    have many other supernatural events which we will share on our podcasts.

 NEXT: When I began to realize and understand the authority that Christ gives us as His Temple, I   wrote my second book, “Spiritual Authority” which changed my life. When Jesus Christ   announced the coming Church in Matt. 16:18,19, He said 3 things:

 ·      It is my Church

 ·      I will build it

 ·      I will give you the keys (competent authority) to the Kingdom of Heaven, which is God’s   government on earth. 

 John the Baptist – Matt. 3:2

 Jesus Christ – Matt. 4:17;  both had the same message – “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is   at hand’. 

 But it is a mystery to the world.  Matt. 13:11

 I sent the draft of “Spiritual Authority” to the Christian Post, who have a wonderful daily website.   They have edited the book and are now promoting to their database of 6 million along with our   podcasts (on Edify) which extends to over 500,000.  Michael Ellison’s podcast is now available to   his database of over 100,000. 

 I soon began to realize that even as we are God’s Temple and He has given us His authority,   unless we have a relationship and are guided by the Holy Spirit, our efforts will be in vain.

 Remember when Jesus said, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them   now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will   not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will tell you things   to come. He will glory Me for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:12-14

 The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth on the authority that it will glorify Jesus Christ.

 I have now just completed my third book, outlining the 33 amazing, supernatural things He   wants to do for us. This is life changing.

 I am now working on my fourth book, entitled “The Difference Between the Logos and Rhema   Word of God."

 “Wise leaders should have known that the human heart cannot exist in a vacuum. If Christians   are forbidden to enjoy the wine of the Spirit, they will turn to the wine of the flesh….Christ died for   our heart and the Holy Spirit wants to come and satisfy them.

 If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today, 95% of what we do would go on and no   one would know the difference. If the Holy Spirit had been withdrawn from the New Testament   church, 95% of what they did would stop and everybody would know the difference. The Spirit   filled life is not a special, deluxe edition of Christianity. It is part and parcel of the total plan of   God for His people.”   ~~ A.W. Tozer

 Here is our challenge.  “About 67% of Americans say they are Christian but about 52% say that   the Holy Spirit is not God”.  ~~ Barna

 I am now understanding what it means to ABIDE (dwell) in the Rhema (revealed) Word of God.   “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways   acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.  Do not be wise in your own eyes.  Fear the   Lord, and depart from evil.  It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones”.                       Proverbs 3:5-8

 “Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the   oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying,   'what shall we eat?’ or ‘what shall awe drink?’ or ‘what shall we wear’? For after all these things     the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first   the Kingdom of god and His righte4ousness and all these things shall be added to you.   Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient     for the day is its own trouble”.  Matthew 6:30-34

 Someone said you have to live it before you teach it!!

 “Who will save us now that the monster Covid 19 has broken free? The pandemic has humbled   the country and the world and has opened up Millions of eyes to this risky universe once more."

 In the Old Testament, it would seem that men of Spiritual resources may not only Redeem   catastrophe but turn the moment into A great creative opportunity.

 For societies founded on Biblical traditions, pandemics need not make for the end. This is call   for repentance and revival. Great struggles can produce great clarity."

 Now is the time for Spiritual Authority! What is Spiritual Authority? One who learns spiritual   authority in his or her life must recognize that the essential source of all authority is God. While   many rely on their position granted to them by another human being, spiritual authority comes   only from God.

 When you walk and live in the incredible truth that you are God’s Temple, spiritual authority,   which God has promised, is life changing.

 To apply God’s spiritual authority to your life and circumstances, the one major ingredient you   need is FAITH. It is impossible (impotent) to please God without faith. By faith, Noah build a ship   in the idle of dry land. By faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place   that would become his home at age seventy-five. By faith, barren Sarah was able to become   pregnant. By faith, George Mueller fed over 10,000 orphans. At this time, England was only   looking after 3,600 orphans. By faith Mueller build five large orphanages. By faith, Mueller never   asked anybody but God for money and millions of dollars came in.

 My first book, “Your Body is God’s Temple” conveys the awesome truth that we are God’s Temple   with the Holy Spirit living with us and because of this amazing truth, God gives us spiritual   authority. Desperately needed today. 

 God will heal our land (divine intervention or cure like a physician) IF we follow His spiritual   authority,  II Chronicles 7:13-15

 1.  Possesses true humility – self help books not always bad but usually promote self.

 2. Choose trust over originality. Always repeat the truth according to Scripture.

 3. Pursue God over happiness. Catching a glimpse of God becomes more important than   happiness.

 4. Understanding progress often means turning back. ‘Turning back’ is the definition of   repentance.

 5. Listen to the Holy Spirit. Stand back and listen to the Holy Spirit.
